The revolting children are taking over! The gloriously rambunctious cast of Broadway's Matilda performed on The Late Show with David Letterman on June 11. Bertie Carvel, as the terrifying headmistress Miss Trunchbull, kicked off the showstopping number with his speech about how all children are "detestable maggots" before the kids leapt on top of their school desk and tore into the hit musical's showstopping number "Revolting Children." Matilda was the winner of four 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Book of a Musical for Dennis Kelly and Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for Gabriel Ebert.
